Economic Development

We have over 25 years’ experience in economic development at local and regional level. We combine clear economic analysis and insight with a deep understanding of what works on the ground.

Cornwall council report

CLIENT / Cornwall Council

We were commissioned by Cornwall Council to produce a demand study for Carluddon in support of a new ERDF application. We modelled demand and
market opportunities for both the Technology Park as a whole and the proposed building for advanced manufacturing.

Dorset council report

CLIENT / Dorset Council

This complex study described and quantified the environmental economy within Dorset. It also assessed the value of the Jurassic Coast and AONB and made recommendations about how Dorset’s natural assets might be supported in future. We assessed the economic value of both environmental assets and flows.

Postbridge Visitor Centre case study

CLIENT / Dartmoor National Park

In support of an RDPE capital bid by Dartmoor National Park, we completed an economic modelling study of a proposed new visitor centre located in the middle of the moor. Using four scenarios, we were able to estimate the business and employment benefits to the immediate locality and Dartmoor as a whole over 10 years.

The report was commissioned by four Local Economic Partnerships and their respective Growth Hubs in the South West.
