Simon Hooton
Director, Ash Futures
Simon has over 30 years experience of producing strategies and plans, working with – governments, companies, charities and regional agencies. He has considerable expertise in economic development, evaluation and research, horizon scanning and foresight, sustainability, and climate change. Simon works with senior teams to help understanding around future drivers of change and strategic planning.
Simon is the owner and Director of Ash Futures. Since the consultancy was established in 2011, he has worked with clients in the private, social enterprise, public and environment sectors – completing over 80 commissions for 44 different clients.
Previously, Simon was Director of Strategy at the South West Regional Development Agency and, before that, Head of Economic Development at Bristol City Council. He holds an MSc in Policy Studies from the University of Bristol.
